If you look at mods on Nexus, itll usually say whether it's for DAIMM or Frosty. You can use both DAIMM and Frosty together. The other mod manager is called Frosty Mod Manager, and it is more powerful, but requires you to launch the game through the Frosty launcher (a little like launching skyrim through SKSE rather than the actual game exe). The game doesn't get updates anymore, so there isn't really a need for the mod manager to be updated. The DAI mod manager works perfectly fine, even if it says it has been abandoned.
